Yellow cotton with high neck and leg-o-mutton sleeves having white banded trim to collar, cuff and button placket, white neck tie with embroidered circles. . B-36, L-19. Invoice from Doris to Helen: "Lemon yellow blouse with stiff collar" (this was one which Katherine Hepburn used for African Queen tests), was copied for the actress "though it was somewhat earlier than the film but she greatly liked it". Together with a wide-brim Panama hat, 1911, with concave crown having a gathered band of picoted copper silk ribbon, quilted tan cotton twill lining. 18 x 3 1/2. (Lining wire partly missing) excellent. Hat was copied in triplicate for the film, purchased from Doris Langley Moore, fashion consultant for the movie. Excellent.
