Vintage Fenton pink opalescent hobnail glass basket. Fenton Glass Works….. . This pattern was introduced in 1940 and is also known as the “brides basket”. Because this beautiful classic piece of Fenton glass is unmarked, the date of production for the basket is between the years 1941-64. This glass basket has the Fenton cranberry color with an opalescent overcoat and it was a hand blown mold piece, meaning the artist would blow the glass into a molded shape and then crimp the edges and attach the handle. The condition of the vintage Fenton glass basket is excellent with no chips or cracks and it measures 9” high, 5” wide and the basket is 7” deep.
