A FINE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF A BUDDHIST DEITY & MANDORLA PROBABLY 17TH/18TH CENTURY. The finely sculpted and cast multi-headed deity wearing Buddhist tiaras surrounding the stupa-form headdress finial, the eight-handed figure holding a variety of Buddhist objects including vajras, a bow and arrow and one hand holding a small Buddhist deity, resting on a single lotus base raised on three legs and with lengthy Tibetan inscription on the reverse and framed by a separately cast flaming mandorla. Height 9.8 inches (25 cm).
