Käthe Kollwitz Limited Edition Stone Litho Portfolio. Vintage portfolio collection of 23 limited edition lithograph reproductions of the artwork of Käthe Kollwitz b.1867. Original portfolio contain 25 lithographs, 23 remaining. This Portfolio has been in consignors family who hailed from Germany, brought it to Norway, then to New York. Portfolio measures approx 25 in tall by 19 in wide. Portfolio binding has extensive surface wear, papers separating artwork also have extensive surface wear and need replacing to ensure life of artwork. Artwork itself appears to be in good condition, although does have some surface wear and discoloration due to age. Käthe Kollwitz, née Schmidt (German pronunciation: [k??t? k?lv?t?s]), (8 July 1867 – 22 April 1945) was a German artist, who worked with painting, printmaking (including etching, lithography and woodcuts) and sculpture. Her most famous art cycles, including The Weavers and The Peasant War, depict the effects of poverty, hunger, and war on the working class.[1][2] Despite the realism of her early works, her
