Description
Included for you in this lot is a bird point arrow head, crafted of Obsidian, and excavated from Japan. The point originates from the Jomon period, dating to 14,000 - 300 BC. During the Jomon period, Japan was inhabited by a hunter & gatherer culture, and was rich in tools, jewelry, and pottery. This arrowhead shows excellent knapping, and a gorgeous smoky, opaque color. Additionally, the point uses prominent ears, with a deep concave base. The point is kept in a display riker case, and has a Certificate of Authenticity from Baker Authentication. The point is graded a 9.5, and shows good condition overall. The small point measures 3/4" long, and 1/2" wide.
