An Inca stone mace-head, circa 1470-1532 A. D. Reddish brown stone mace head, carved to depict four feline heads around the perimeter, each with sunken mouth and eyes, and perked ears. Measures 3.5" diameter, 2" high.
PROVENANCE: Ex. Metropolitan Museum of Art, Arthur M. Bullowa Collection, Sotheby's Sale 6702, May 16th, 1995, Lot 217.
