Rib marked "W ANSON SLANEY ST. BIRMINGHAM". Lightly engraved boxlock action w/ dbl. under lugs. Splinter forend & straight grip buttstock having initial shield in toeline. CONDITION: poor to fair overall appearance w/ good Damascus pattern remaining. Cleaned surfaces w/ light oxidation at muzzle. Loose action unsafe to shoot; suitable for decorator use. Sm. crack on left side of stock at receiver. Lg. crack on right side w/ segment missing at top front. Buttstock lighter colored at rear from sanding; missing spur buttplate. Good bores.
