Cal. 9mm Glisenti. S# 1176P. Italian service pistol used in both World Wars. Fixed sights. Unusual checkered grip safety at front strap rather than backstrap. Integral lanyard loop machined into backstrap. Mag. release on left at butt. Matching numbers on bbl., bolt, frame, receiver & grip safety. Top of receiver has circular proof w/ "BC" & shield w/ "RV". Right rear of frame has oval "TM" plus crown / "FAB" / "1910" w/in circle. Right grip has crossed shield under crown logo along w/ full checkering. Left grip raised checkering only w/ borders. Nickel plated trigger, bolt & takedown wedge. Glisenti cartridge dimensionally identical to 9mm Luger but w/ approximately 25% less power; under no circumstances should this gun be used w/ Luger ammo. MAGS: 1 very good 7 rd. mag. CONDITION: good to very good overall appearance. Appears arsenal refinished over occasional light & peppery oxidation. Patina appearance to rear of bolt & noticeable peppery oxidation on backstrap. Left grip appears later replacement by appearance & checkering design; also has vertical scratch through diamonds from mag. release upward. Right grip has chip at lower right front; balance appears very good & dark. Sm. chip on takedown wedge head. Very good to excellent bore. (17-3610/NW). CURIO. $550-800.
