Blued finish w/ 3 patent dates on bbl. numbered "76" having brass blade front sight; cyl. numbered "76" & grips numbered to frame. CONDITION: replacement cyl. & bbl. assembly w/ patina finish. Fair bore w/ light pitting throughout. Frame has good appearing finish w/ good traces of original bright blue along w/ typical hand wear near trigger plus patina on backstrap. Finish of cyl. latch, cyl. & bbl. assembly indicates replacement from another firearm. (01-14566/NW). 2) MERWIN HULBERT THIRD POCKET MODEL. Cal. 38 MH. S# 30277. Standard nickel plated model (1874-1891) w/ flat bottom grip having lanyard loop. Sliding loading gate on medium frame. Matching numbered cyl. & 3 1/2" bbl. that encloses cyl. pin. Merwin Hulbert & Co. marking on bbl. w/out Hopkins & Allen reference; 4 patent dates. DA trigger guard model w/ folding spur hammer. Left side of frame under checkered hard rubber grips w/ assembly # "1027". Left side of frame above trigger has "Cal. 38". CONDITION: good plus overall appearance w/ minimal case colors on trigger & hammer. Spotty peppery oxidation throughout w/ cyl. having best appearance. Good plus grips w/ noticeable wear spot on left. Thinning w/ light pitting near muzzle; especially right side. Light cleaned oxidation on backstrap. Light finish loss to cyl. & especially good appearing chambers. Fair to good bore; cleaned w/ light to moderate pitting. (01-14572/NW). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-1000 for lot.
