Rear sight mounted approx. 1/8" front of breech block. Breech block marked "1870 eagle U.S." Lock marked "US SPRINGFIELD" w/ eagle & "1864". 2 Position tumbler. Ladder rear sight marked to 900 yds. Blade front sight. Incorrect replacement ramrod is present. Upper band has replacement swivel. 2 Piece trigger guard w/ smooth trigger. Buttplate marked "US". Walnut stock marked only w/ "37" behind breech plug tang. CONDITION: stock has appearance of early refinish w/ heavy wear, scratches & staining throughout. Chip missing from right side of heel & in front of buttplate tang. Also has sm. crack in same area extending approx. 1 1/4" forward. Forend has areas of chipped wood along stock line on both sides of bbl. Notable dent on forend ahead of lock plate w/ 2 sm. cracks. Bright metal turning gray & patina w/ wear, dents, scratches & light oxidation plus fine pitting throughout. Fair bore turning dark w/ wear to lands. (01-14557/RW). 2) 1870 CONVERSION CARBINE. Cal. 50-70. S# 5787. Bbl. 21 7/8". Breech block marked "1870 eagle US". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1900 yds. Sight when lowered overlaps receiver ring. Front sight has brass blade crudely attached to bbl. Bbl. has flat crown. S# marked on right side of bbl. ahead of rear sight. 2 Position tumbler. Lockplate marked w/ "US SPRINGFIELD EAGLE" & "1863". 2 Piece trigger guard w/ smooth trigger. Trigger guard has had swivel & base removed. Buttplate marked "US". Saddle ring & bar have been added to left side of rifle. Unmarked short comb walnut stock. Crude wood filler in ramrod channel. CONDITION: stock has been refinished w/ extensive wear, dents, staining & scratches. Loss of wood in inletted areas. Lg. cracks extended through panel on left side. Reblued bbl. band, receiver & breech block have been heavily polished over pitting w/ wear & scratches. Lockplate, hammer & trigger guard have heavily pitted appearance. Extract does not function correctly. Fair bore w/ wear to lands & fine pitting. (01-14558/RW). 3) 1873 CONVERSION CARBINE. Cal. 45-70. S# 152706. Bbl. has been shortened to 22" marked w/ "VP eagle P" & marked on top w/ "B". Low arch breech block. Model 1877 sight marked "R" on left side. Blade front sight has been reattached to top of bbl. w/ hobbyist type gunsmithing. Metcalfe pattern band w/ split stacking swivel. Undated flat lockplate. 3 Position tumbler. Unmarked long comb walnut stock. 2 Piece trigger guard w/ grooved trigger. Solid buttplate marked "US". Stock has had ramrod channel filled. CONDITION: heavily worn stock has extensive wear, dents, scratches & staining. Stock has lg. open crack on top right of pistol grip. Cracks on left side in breech area w/ crude pinned repair & missing chips of wood. Wood filler at ramrod hole has open cracked appearance. Metal has traces of blue turning overall gray & patina w/ wear, dents, scratches, light oxidation & fine pitting. Fair bore w/ wear to lands & scattered fine pitting. (01-14559/RW).
