Lot 0086
Three early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set brooches. To include a split pearl heart and knot brooch, a green and colourless gem 'dearest' music brooch, together with a split pearl and red gem brooch. Two with hallmarks for Chester, 1900 and Birmingham, 1905. Lengths 3.8 to 4.4cms. Total weight 8.8gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One replacement clasp, base metal, soft solder visible.
  • Split pearls ar a dull cream hue.
  • Dearest brooch with one replacement colourless gem, chipped, and one gem deficient. Green gem believed demantoid garnet.
  • Red gems well matched.
