An early 20th century diamond floral pendant. Of openwork design, the old-cut diamond, with vari-cut diamond petal surrounds, suspended from a similarly-cut diamond surmount. One paste replacement. Estimated total diamond weight 6 to 6.50cts, tinted colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Length 5.5cms. Total weight 22.3gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear.
  • Recently cleaned to a high finish.
  • Has had many later alterations, some soft solder and uneven areas visible.
  • Some stones possible replacements.
  • One of the stones on the surmount is paste replacement.
  • Diamonds are fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Diamonds have light and dark inclusions a few of which are surface reaching.
  • Paste in good condition, with minor nibbles to facet edges.
