Yale & Towne Bank Vault Time Lock. 1.5 in. porcelain dials are signed “The Yale & Towne Mfg. Co., Stamford Conn. - Stockwells’ Patent, July 19, 1892” has 72 hour numbers with a mounted post which pushes a lever to unlock the safe or vault when the dial reaches zero (0). The quality movement has silvered plates, balance wheel and lever escapement in running condition; one movement is signed and numbered “E. Howard & Co., Boston, 3640”, the other is numbered “21718”, unsigned, attributed to Seth Thomas. In an aluminum box case numbered all over “182” and has “Safe No. 325” on the back, has lock and key; movements are both running , dials are in good clean condition, case has a scratches in the front of the door. 6.75 in. high x 3.5 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
