Pre-Columbian, Argentina or Chile, Mapuche culture, ca. 1200 to 1850 CE. A wonderful smoking pipe, hand-carved from a chocolate-brown stone, with a form resembling a boat. The pipe has a raised receptacle, teardrop-shaped body, and a tapered mouthpiece with a drilled hole for inhalation. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 3.125" L x 1.75" W x 1" H (7.9 cm x 4.4 cm x 2.5 cm); 2.25" H (5.7 cm) on included custom stand.
