Pre-Columbian, Argentina or Chile, Mapuche culture, ca. 1200 to 1850 CE. A wonderful smoking pipe, hand-carved from a chocolate-brown stone, with a form resembling a boat. The pipe has a raised receptacle, teardrop-shaped body, and a tapered mouthpiece with a drilled hole for inhalation. Custom museum-quality display stand included.
