"In memory of the genius and righteous person the sacred one of Israel, the Chazon Ish ztz"l." Certificate dated the 5th of Sivan, 1955 on behalf of the Committee for Writing a Torah Scroll in Memory of the Chazon Ish. Zichron Meir, Bnei Brak, 1955.
The certificate was made for Rabbi Shmuel Abramowitz, Chief Rabbi of Ramat Yitzchak, "because he has a portion in the general Torah Scroll that was written in memory of Rabbeinu Maran Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz ztz"l whose soul ascended to the Heavens on the eve of Shabbat, Parshat Vayera, the 15th of Cheshvan, 1954." The letter he was assigned was a ×© from the word ××©×¨ in Chapter 3, Verse 1 of Genesis. It also notes that 1 Lira Eretz-Yisraelit was received in exchange for this honor.
In the background there is a nice lithograph print of a menorah, Torah Scroll and stars of David. Rare document, there are no other known similar documents.
