A late Georgian gold memorial brooch and ring. The brooch with raised floral and foliate detail, to a carved onyx panel depicting a flower and the black foliate enamel border with a personal engraving to the reverse, the ring with a glazed woven hair panel and split pearls to the surround and shoulders. Length of brooch 3.4cms. Ring size S. Weight 13.5gms.


The condition of this lot is fair to poor with surface marks to the enamel, onyx and metal in keeping with age and wear. The glass to the ring is scuffed. The personal engraving to the brooch reads ''JP 5 April 1818' and 'AS 2 May 1837'. The brooch has a vacant recess to the reverse which may originally have been glazed. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
