CHINESE / ASIAN ORNITHOLOGICAL PRINTS, LOT OF FOUR, hand-colored, comprising two examples with Chinese characters centered below image, and plate number to upper right corner, one depicting a blue and white bird under a bush bearing red berries, the other depicting a brown and white bird taking flight from a grape vine, and two examples with only plate number to upper left corner, one depicting a Golden Pheasant among chrysanthemum and other blossoms, the other depicting a red-billed magpie perched among various blossoms; three with similar fleur-de-lis watermark to paper, the other with a different watermark. Unframed. Probably 19th century. Images 11 1/8" x 8" sight, 19" x 12" and 18 1/2" x 11 1/2" OA.
Very good condition overall, colors bright, scattered foxing/staining throughout.
