JAPANESE CLOISONNE BOXES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a rectangular brass example having raised oval cartouche to lid with central reserve featuring a phoenix within blue ginbari enamel ground, and two smaller examples, possibly cigarette boxes, with all-over enamel decoration and intricate scenic decoration to the lid, the first having green ground with scattered flecks of aventurine, with the lid decoration featuring a bird and a butterfly amid polychrome flower blossoms and foliage, including chrysanthemums, the second having dark blue ground, with the lid decoration featuring a bird perched on a flowering bush, and two birds in flight above; unmarked. Late 19th/first half 20th century. The first 2 3/4" HOA, 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" OA, remainder 1 1/2" HOA each, 4" x 4 5/8" OA and 4" x 4 1/4" OA.
Excellent condition, expected minor wear.
