FRENCH SILVER WINE TASTERS / TASTEVIN, LOT OF TWO, comprising one example with applied loop handle in the form of a snake, incised "J. BUCHER. D. L. C." with stars/asterisks flanking, partially legible marks, appearing to be French hallmarks, including rooster in octagon with numeral "1", most likely for .950 fineness, and maker's mark with "P" and "H" flanking a key, above a third letter, and a second example with folded-over handle with ribbed decoration, impressed "F. I. DENEVERS" with star punctuation, partially legible marks, appearing to be French hallmarks, including male profile in hexagon with numeral "1", most likely for .950 fineness, maker's mark "J" over "CARLIER" with heart, all within diamond. Total weight: 3.42 ozt. Late 18th/first half 19th century. 2 5/8" and 3" D rims.
