ASSORTED WORLD'S FAIR / EXPOSITION STERLING SILVER SOUVENIR SPOONS, LOT OF 13, (UPDATED 4/20/18) comprising examples from the World's Columbian Exposition, 1892, the Trans-Mississippi Exposition, 1898, the Pan-American Exposition, 1901, the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, 1903, and the New York World's Fair, 1964, including a World's Columbian Exposition example having twist handle with Columbus finial, engraved lettering to bowl "WORLD'S FAIR / 1893", a Louisiana Purchase Exposition example, with handle having embossed decoration to both sides featuring Expo buildings, and bust-length depictions of Napoleon and Jefferson, marked for Mechanics Sterling Co., two World's Columbian Exposition examples with embossed decoration to handle including bust-length depiction of Columbus, and scenic decoration to bowl depicting a sailing vessel in calm waters, marked for Alvin Mfg. Co., and a 1901 Pan-American Exposition example with handle having embossed Native American/Indian Chief and buffalo decoration, with embossed decoration to bowl lettered "ELECTRIC TOWER", marked for American Souvenir Co. Together with twenty-three (23) non-silver World's Fair/Exposition souvenir spoons, including the Century of Progress International Exposition, 1933, and the Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939.
