BRITISH INLAID SATINWOOD TAMBOUR LAP DESK, rectangular case with arched tambour door concealing interior well fitted with two small drawers above single full drawer fitted with likely original cut-glass ink bottles, solid ends with original brass handles drawers retaining original turned bone knobs. Mahogany, ebony, and various lightwood complex inlay to edges of case, decoration highlighted by a fine shell in oval reserve at top. Mahogany and oak secondary woods. Old surface with warm color. 19th century. 5 1/4" H, 10 5/8" W, 9 1/4" D.
Very good overall condition with minor scattered wear and very minor imperfections to tambour.
