UNLISTED BRASS DOUBLE-ARM STUDENT LAMP, central cylindrical font holder with ornate Classical scene featuring cherubs and flowers, original font tank, adjustable single-post terminating in a Classical-themed finial, weighted ornate cast-brass base. Ovoid form reserves holding "P&A/DUPLEX" burners with a snuffing feature and No. 80 adjustable spider shade holders. Topped with a pair of opaque white with pale tan ground lobed student shades with floral decoration, and non-period slip chimneys. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 23" HOA, 24" WOA, 7 1/2" DOA foot. 6" H, 9 3/4" D shades.
(UPDATED 4/23/18) Excellent condition overall, stamped brass with a separation at seam to lower half of the font holder. Shades and chimney with typical minute flaking/roughness to the fitters, one chimney with two minor flakes to the fitter.
