EUROPEAN OPALINE AND ENAMEL-DECORATED PAIR OF LAMPS, translucent blue with gilt decoration, each tall urn form with matching floral polychrome-enamel decoration, each fitted onto a brass base, each having been electrified with the font holders now being frozen, shells of period burners having been drilled and a central pole extending through each, two-socket clusters. Topped with vintage ruffled cloth shades. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 31" and 33" HOA (without shades), 7 1/2" D bases.
Glass undamaged with wear to the gilt decoration, significant imperfections to the burner shells due to electrification, one example lacking a securing screw for the socket cluster allowing the cluster to swivel loosely, same example lacking a finial. One shade with a moderate puncture, each having scattered patches of wear and tear.
