A limestone stele with angular-shaped head to the top; lentoid eyes with prominent brow ridge, long nose and small mouth, small ears to the side; three letters of Sabaean script: 'Sat Waw Alef' probably the name of the owner; pigment to the surface; mounted on a custom-made stand. 4.3 kg total, (11 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; previously from a German collection; acquired in Cologne in the 1980s.
