Circa 3000 BC. A carved red limestone cylinder seal depicting three women, accompanied by a museum quality impression and a typed, signed scholarly note by W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham 1970-1993, which states: Design: three squatting women holding hands, separated by deep grooves. Mesopotamia, c. 3000 BC. Condition fair. 6.21 grams, 15mm (5/8"). Property of a Mayfair, London, UK, ancient art collector; acquired in the 1970s-1980s; inventory number 86.
