Note: This is a pioneering work by a pioneering figure.  In words and images, Cartier-Bresson essentially defined the emerging art of photojournalism.  The title of the book has itself become a definition of both Cartier-Bresson's work and of the genre as a whole.  When this ground breaking tome was published in 1952,  it set the standard for the future of the field, and has maintained its' position of importance ever since.

front board slightly warped, small breaks at top and bottom of spine, some chipping, foxing toning; dust jacket with handling grime, damp stains, toning, tears, some mildew spotting
