Hamatsa Mask, 1981, initialed and dated mask interior "GD 1981", carved and polychromed cedar, cedar bark, mouth hinged with leather straps, together with an iron hanging bracket, 19 x 39 x 11 in.


Note: The Hamatsa Ceremony is considered the most important of all the traditional Kwakwaka’wakw dance ceremonies.
