Stoneware jar, probably 1 gallon, decorated with blue flowers on stem, with rare mark of "N, FURMAN, NO, 89, PECK, SLIP, NY," (Noah Furman, South Amboy NJ - 19th century) - Though marked NY, it was made in South Amboy, New Jersey in the mid 19th century and shipped to NY city for resale - the Peck Slip area is located it the South Street Seaport District of Manhattan. 8 3/8"H. There is a chip on the outside of rim that appears to be a manufacturing defect as it appears to retain original glazing. Overall very good condition.
