A pair of New Ireland stone axe heads, Papua New Guinea, both in a dark black stone, one rather ovoid in shape with original polish and rounded cutting edge, 5 ¼ x 2 7/8 in (13.3 x 7.3 cm), the second of a similar shape but much heavier with some abrading from time, 6 x 3 ¼ in (15.2 x 8.3 cm).
