The grip mounted in silver filigree with tassel intact. Steel guard with rare long, straight, double-edged blade with broad central fuller running to the tip, chiseled on each side with an orb maker’s mark and the date 1307 (1890 c.e.) together with lengthy Arabic inscriptions, and retaining its sharp edges. The tooled leather scabbard with metal mounts and baldric a working life replacement. Dated 1890. Minor wear. Overall length 107cm. Condition II
