A FRENCH BELLE ÉPOQUE BACCARAT STYLE BRONZE DORÉ AND CRYSTAL CHANDELIER, 1890-1920, in the transitional Louis XVI and Art Nouveau taste, a circular standard with six scrolling foliate volutes with pendeloque, kite and star prisms, joined by hexagonal crystal garland, issuing six fluted standards, of traditional hall lantern inspiration, ending in quatrefoil and swirling rosette mounted blocks issuing dual acanthus leaf and bellflower blooms hung with pear, violin, and clam shell inspired pendeloques, ending in acanthus leaf bobèches hung with cut spear prisms, topped by lotus leaf bottomed twisted, tapered candle cups, the whole joined by hexagonal crystal garlands issuing pendeloques, and centering a crystal spear mounted to a circular standard ending in a tapered cut pearl chain, with star over a large cut crystal ball. Some darkened patina and giilt rubbing throughout, appears to be originally designed for electricity wiring as arms are hollow with no evidence of drilling, various chips to prisms throughout, likely some prisms replaced with glass reproductions, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
