A FIVE PIECE DRESDEN GILT AND PAINTED PORCELAIN FIGURAL CENTERPIECE AND COMPOTES, UNDERGLAZE BLUE MARK, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the central leafy stem enclosed by classically robed seated and recumbent Bacchanalian figures holding musical instruments, a wine cup or laurel wreath, on a shaped rectangular pedestal with monnaie detailed "C" scrolls ending in scrolling acanthus feet, alternating panels modeled as masks of Bacchus, Pan and Silenius above seashell modeled pendants, surmounted by an associated oval reticulated basket of foliate curling ribbons and tapering raised bands, height: 23 3/4", width: 12 1/2", depth: 10 1/2"; together with a set of four shaped oval shell form compotes mounted with fruit filled basket finials and raised on scrolling acanthus leaf feet, two having underglaze blue crowned monogram mark, height: 8", width: 15 1/2", depth: 9 3/4". Centerpiece base scrolled foot was professionally restored, reticulated basket is probably associated, some minor scattered tiny chips, two shell form compotes have had their marks effaced.
