A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE PARCEL GILT BEECH BERGÈRE À OREILLES, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the three flower blooms center an arched, molded crest rail with a central bead and acanthus repeating motif, over an arched back with corner florets, above a lamb's tongue carved liner, with an upholstered back within upholstered wings, and upholstered armrests, ending in acanthus leaf carved scrolled hand terminals on molded and acanthus leaf carved swan neck supports, each flanking a cushioned seat, joined to block and floret carved corners, issuing tapered, stop fluted carved, turned legs, on tapered, turned feet, joined by a repeating relief medallion motif carved skirt, now in striped green, taupe and cream upholstery. Some rubbing and minor surface wear, later upholstery with a few mild stains, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
