A GROUP OF TWO AMERICAN STERLING SILVER SERVING BOWLS, CIRCA 1920-1930, comprising a Gorham Manufacturing Co. sterling silver bowl of scallop rim lobed form, the border engraved with medallions between beribboned floral swags, raised on spreading foot, Providence, Rhode Island, 1920, stamped: (lion), (anchor), "G, STERLING, 3357A," (spoon), height: 4 1/4", diameter: 12 1/8"; and a Dominick & Haff sterling silver bowl of shaped oval form, the reticulated border with acanthus flowers in circles over engraved acanthus scroll and acanthus flowers in profile, raised on oval spreading foot, monogrammed "W," New York, New York, circa 1920-1925, stamped (rectangle), (circle), (diamond), "STERLING," height: 2 7/8", width: 7", depth: 5 1/2", total approximate silver weight: 29.38 troy ounces.
In overall good condition with surface rubbing, wear, and scratching commensurate with age and use, the foot of the Gorham bowl slightly compressed, and the foot of the Dominick & Haff bowl slightly dented.
