A FRENCH GILT BRONZE MOUNTED AND PAINTED ENAMEL BOWL, SIGNED, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with a waved circular bowl centering a nicely painted scene of a maiden seated along the rocky banks of a meandering stream, amongst trees and foliage before a distant cottage, signed, "Julius," beneath a blossoming vine entwined three bamboo stalks cast handle. Good condition, a few negligible cracks on interior and exterior, normal buildup in crevices of handle and some tiny chips on the rim, expected light wear on the exterior base.
