FRAME, ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, CIRCA 1882-1900, the cranberry glass caster of ovoid form with five tapering lobes to the body with hand painted enamel floral and foliate decoration, with silver plated frame with acanthus scroll and addorsed "C" scroll handle above two wire work standards, one with hanging bracket for tongs, above triangular side mounts with stylized floral decoration above lobed shaped foot with scrolled retaining band, raised on four reticulated scroll feet, silver plated domed caster top with urn form handle, with associated Russian 84 standard silver tongs. The glass in overall good condition with no evidence of chips, nicks, or cracks, minor rubbing to enamel decoration, the silver plated frame with losses including rubbing and small areas of loss of plating.
