A GERMAN PAINTED CHERUB AND FLOWER ENCRUSTED MIRROR, POSSIBLY DRESDEN, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, in the Rococo Revival style and centering a shaped beveled mirror, within a conforming frame of "C" scrolled rocaille and stylized foliage, modeled with nicely detailed blooms and a scantily robed cherub holding floral clusters, surmounted by a similarly robed cherub clutching a tapered blossoming garland and ending in a mirrored "C" scroll cartouche, each piece impressed 1320 over paired lines. Height: 34 1/2" Width: 23"


Good condition with some expected tiny nicks on flower petals and leaves throughout, one repaired foliage tip on crest, normal surface buildup in crevices. No discernible maker's marks except for impressed numbers "1320" over paired lines. The mirror is composed of six porcelain pieces and two mirror plates screwed onto a buff velvet wrapped board.
