A QING DYNASTY (1644-1912) FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN PLAQUE HONGMU MOUNTED TABLE SCREEN, CHINA, IN THE YONGZHENG (1722-1735) TASTE, overglaze hand painted on glazed porcelain, the scene of pairs of cranes, phoenixes, ducks, hawks, magpies, in landscape detailed with lily pads, lotus blooms, rocks, and chrysanthemums, under the branches of a Guangdong white pine tree; a theme of blessings of marriage, the base carved with flanking pinyin guardian lions on lotus bud pedestals, raised on pierced scrolling cloud bracket supports, on a trestle base, joined by a stretcher carved in relief of peach, chrysanthemum, and gourd among scrolling leafy tendrils, over a shaped skirt with relief carved intertwined tendrils, raised on scrolled feet. Height: 32 1/2" Width: 22 7/8" Depth: 9 1/2"

Condition

Mild surface wear to paint, with some rubbing, some surface wear to carved wood, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
