A TWO PIECE ITALIAN ROCOCO REVIVAL GILTWOOD SALON SUITE, CIRCA 1900, consisting of a bergère and settee canapé, the broken arch crest rails centering leafy scrolled volutes within gadroon and "C" scrolls encrusted with acanthus leaf furls and daffodil blooms, over tripartite upholstered backs, above serpentine upholstered seats, within sloping outwardly turned arms, ending in acanthus leaf carved and scrolled hand terminals, on leaf and scrolled swan neck supports, raised on flower bloom carved cabriole legs, ending in French toes, joined by a scalloped, "C" scroll carved skirt, centering a shell fan with flower bloom, the whole now covered in cream and sage, neoclassical, striped upholstery; canapé: height: 36 1/2", width: 46 1/2", depth: 23 1/2"; bergère: height: 34", width: 30 1/2", depth: 22 1/2".
Some mild surface wear, rubbing to gilt, very mild stains on the upholstery, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
