A LOUIS XVI REVIVAL FAUX JEWELED GILT METAL AND PAINTED HAND MIRROR, POSSIBLY AUSTRIAN/FRENCH, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the eight pointed star form frame centering a circular painted plaque, depicting a painted portrait of Queen Marie Antoinette signed, "Bac," radiating faux diamond studded silvered bell flowers, within conforming trim of paste sapphires, surmounted by a crest of scrolling paterae brackets flanking a blank oval shield, reversing to a similarly detailed crest above a conforming beveled mirror, mounted on a scrolling necked holloware handle ending in a suspension loop. Light gilding wear and surface buildup in areas throughout, some paste sapphires lacking, some tiny dings and scratches on handle from usage, mirrored glass plate has a few tiny scratches and silvered backing has discolored areas from age.
