A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond and split pearl brooch. The old-cut diamond, star-set to the raised central panel, with cannetille halo surround, split pearl highlights and bead terminals. Hallmarks for Chester, 1895. Length 4.2cms. Weight 3.3gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Brooch bent very slightly out of shape.
  • Diamond is bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Split pearls are well matched, creamy white colour, with pink and green overtones, in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Stamped 15ct.
