This is a very unique Navajo Native American Indian Chinle wool rug. The Chinle style was developed by Mary Cabot Wheelwright and Cozy McSparron, a trader at Chinle. The piece shows a dark brown, speckled grey, and gold traditional geometric alternating diamonds. The center of the piece is speckled grey with the word"Mother" woven in dark brown. A wonderful and very rare early 1900's textile. Measures 60.75" x 36.50"
