Chinese Ming Dynasty plate with a slightly flared lip and shallow draft. The exterior is decorated with two white fish swimming through seagrass and lotus flowers, against a cobalt-blue under glazed background. The outer rim and foot left plain white from the underglaze. Carp Li - Similar sounding to the word "Business" in Chinese, the carp can symbolize a wish for benefit or advantage in business. The under base remains unglazed, revealing the pale-creme ground with graying firing marks.

Mark under the exterior rim, a six blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within rectangular frame, Made in The Years of XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
