Large Bronze Chinese Ice Chest encrusted with breathtaking cloisonne stone-work. Served as a storage vessel to kept food cold or store ice during the warmer seasons. The exterior design with blooming night-lotus blossoms that are interconnected by sinuous vines. The demountable lid is made in two parts; mounted with brass handles and hinges. Two aeration vents that form the symbol Shou which stands for longevity are located on one of the lid panels. Four gilt bands wrap around the top lip, midsections, and lowermost edge.

Mark on base, a protruding four script -KaiShu- characters reign mark enclosed within a square frame border, Made in The Years of QianLong Reign Period.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Traced numerous tiny-holes of corrosions on enamel filling, No missing wires found on cloisonne works. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents, and trace of declined on gilt; Normal, consider ages and wear.
