Stunning Chinese Ming Dynasty Gilt Bronze seal with double headed double-horned dragon handgrip, lined with raised embellishments. A cuboid slab of rich quality, with a fair amount of heft. Crisp even sides etched into the perimeter with well-defined ornamentation of cloud form and flower. Protruding from the stamp column is the dominating figure of a double-headed dragon striding the seal. Sculpture of Dragon is centered on the seal block with evenly spaced gaps all the way around allowing for the users fingers to comfortably rest on the edges. Excellent detail and design perfectly executed by ancient craftsmen.
Extensive trace of gilt on surface, and red-pigment on dragons mane.

Mark on top of seal chop, incised six script -KaiShu- characters, Made in The Years of YongLe Reign Period of Great Ming.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding; Normal, considering ages and wears.
