Six Pieces of Victorian Silverplate Tableware

including an A. Savory & Sons meat dome with melon finial, h. 11-1/4", l. 18-1/4", a pair of wine coasters with rocaille rim, dia. 8-1/4", two rocaille sauce tureens, l. 9" and 8-1/2", the latter with engraved armorial, and a quaich with engraved crest of an elephant's head, w. 10-1/2".

Condition

Meat Dome: dulled, scrtached finish from over-zealous cleaning with steel wool, as well as dozen or so spots (1/2" to 2-1/2" long) of bleed-though to the copper base. Some scattered minor dents. Wine Coasters: Good used condition; no issues noted. Width: 13-1/2" Tureens: Bleeding on the larger tureen at the base of the lobes on the lid and on the center of one longer side; similar exposure of the lead core on the details of the rim and feet. The other tureen is in much better condition with some wear but no bleeding and very attractive armorial. Quaich: some bleeding on the edges of the lobe peaks on the interior, the reeded rim, and the acanthus medallion on one handle. The other handle is scratched and dulled from steel wool.
