A pair of Chinese jade plaques from the 19th century. One is carved in the shape of a butterfly with 4 coins around its wings and a ruyi-shaped head. The other plaque is shaped like a ruyi and carved with cut-out tracery with 2 lotus flowers.

Dimensions are: 2 3/8 inches tall X 4 1/8 inches wide for the butterfly. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The butterfly may have a miniscule chip in the tip of 1 wing, but both are in overall good condition.
