Origin: Unknown not U.S. Materials: Wood & Clear Glass Drawer Pulls Dimensions: 14 x 10.5 x 21 Provenance/Additional Info: An Exceptional Apothecary Cabinet built by a true craftsman. The eight labeled drawers have dovetailing. The labels on the drawers have neat painting outlining the medical name of each drawer. The drawer pulls are glass and cut off flush with the inside of the drawer. There are some scratches on the drawer labels from use. The bottom left drawer is difficult to read. Have searched the names of several drawers and found: clove, waxy substance for salves and sulphur. The drawers held compounds for the pharmacist to mix what the patient was prescribed by a physician. The age of this cabinet can also be seen by the sides of the drawers and the back of the piece where the boards have not been stained and nor sealed.
