A small round wooden snuff or keepsake box 2 ½" in diameter and 1 ¼" high. The lid has an etched image of a woman wearing a bonnet; the image has been painted as well. There are also carved notches around the edge of the box giving the appearance of laces. It dates probably to the early 20th century, perhaps a bit earlier. Excellent condition with some slight paint loss but no cracks, chips or breaks.
