⁂ Sharrock was an English clergyman, botanist and Fellow of New College, Oxford. He carried out experiments in grafting and other techniques in the Physick Garden of the city. Away from the garden he was a vehement critic of the work of Thomas Hobbes. The second mentioned with only two copies listed on ESTC (Kew Library and the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation in the US).
